David Chandler assumed the role of Assistant Athletic Trainer in August 2010 after completing his Master's of Science in Exercise Science at the University of Georgia. Chandler is the primary trainer for both the men and women's track and field teams and also assists with both cross country teams.
Chandler spent two years as the Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer for the UGA men's tennis team while he was working on his Master's degree. He helped coordinate the athletic training for the 2010 NCAA Tennis Championships in Athens and worked with a variety of the nation's top-ranked collegiate tennis talent.
Chandler graduated from Xavier University (Cincinnati, Ohio) in May 2008 with a B.S. in Athletic Training. His clinical experiences while at Xavier included: men's and women's basketball, baseball, women's soccer, as well as working with the Cincinnati Bengals for the 2006 season. Chandler also had a summer long internship during 2007 at Cincinnati Children's Hospital in its Sports Medicine Biodynamics Center.
Chandler spent July 2009 as an Athletic Trainer for the USA in the Maccabiah Games in Israel. He is also a certified member of the NATA and a native of Indianapolis.
