2014: Outdoor - Named SEC Men's Freshman Field Athlete of the Year...Won his first collegiate outdoor meet after launching his fifth hammer throw 216 feet, 9 inches at the Baldy Castillo Invitational...Left the Florida Relays with a ninth-place finish after his only fair throw measured 204-8...Finished fourth in the hammer with an effort of 211-10 at the Spec Towns Invite...Connected for a personal-best throw of 220-7 for eighth place at the Mt. SAC Relays...Grabbed top collegiate honors (second overall) in the hammer at the Georgia Invite with a throw of 213-3...Won the hammer title at the SEC Championships thanks to a throw measuring 218-4...Finished first at the NCAA East Prelims after his top throw measured a career-best distance of 227-3...Brought a First Team All-America certificate back to Athens after matching his personal record with a 227-3 to take sixth in the hammer at the NCAA Championships.
