GREENSBORO, N.C. --- Laura Ryan, a junior diver for Georgia, claimed the high-point trophy at the  AT&T National Diving Championships.

Ryan, who transferred to Georgia after two seasons at Indiana, won the synchronized 3-meter title with Meghan Houston, a freshman at Texas. Ryan also came in third on the 3-meter springboard and sixth on the platform.

"Laura is going to be an excellent addition to our team this year," Georgia diving coach Dan Laak said. "She was very sharp at the Nationals, and we feel she can carry that momentum into the season. Laura will give our squad a lot of options this season."

The Georgia swimming and diving teams will open the season Oct. 17 at Georgia Tech.
