Georgia Well Represented At World Championships

ATHENS, Ga. --- The Georgia swimming program will be well represented as the 2013 FINA World Championships get under way in Barcelona, Spain.

The swimming portion of the Worlds will start Sunday and will go through Sunday, Aug. 4.

Swimming on behalf of UGA and the United States will be former Lady Bulldog Megan Romano, rising seniors Andrew Gemmell and Shannon Vreeland, rising juniors Nic Fink and Jordan Mattern, and rising sophomore Chase Kalisz. Others from the Georgia program competing in Barcelona include rising sophomores Brittany MacLean and Chantal Van Landeghem of Canada; former Bulldog Martin Grodzki of Germany; rising sophomore Matias Koski of Finland; rising sophomore Ediz Yildirimer of Turkey; and former Bulldog Troy Prinsloo of South Africa.
