ATHENS, Ga. --- On the last day of Zone B competition at Gabrielsen Natatorium, freshman Ann-Perry Blank finished in 11th place in the platform contest.
For the Lady Bulldogs, Blank was in 11th place after prelims with a score of 225.80 and finished with 445.50 points, while Hannah Moore had a prelim total of 208.35 points (14th place).
"Overall, I thought it was a great meet," said head diving coach Dan Laak. "Everything ran smoothly, and the divers and coaches had a good time. There was great competition and excellent diving. This zone is really good, and if you make it through here then you have a good shot at NCAAs. We dove really well, and I think everyone walked out of here with their heads up."
"It was bittersweet for Tim (Barrett) because he did a great job, and it was the last meet of his career at Georgia," he said. "He's done a great job for us here, and we appreciate his hard work."
On the men's side, Owen Blank was the only Bulldog in today's competition, and he finished prelims in 16th place with 272.40 points.
Moore qualified for the NCAAs on the 3-meter springboard Thursday and was the sole qualifier for Georgia. She has been a NCAA qualifier all four years at Georgia, and this was the third time she has made it through on the first day of Zone competition. Moore will join her swimming teammates next Thursday through Sunday at the NCAAs in Austin, Texas. The men's national competition will take place March 24-26 in Minneapolis, Minn.
