Blank Comes In 16th On 3-Meter At Zones

AUBURN, Ala. ---Georgia’s Owen Blank came in 16th on the men’s 3-meter springboard on Monday at the NCAA Zone B Championships at Auburn’s Martin Aquatic Center.

No Georgia diver registered enough points to earn a spot in the NCAA Championships during Monday’s competition. The meet will continue on Tuesday with women’s 3-meter and men’s 1-meter. The meet will conclude on Wednesday with the platform rounds.

In the prelims, Blank scored 325.90 points to place 14th and advance to the 16-man finals. There, Blank accumulated 312.25 points for a total of 638.15 points and the 16th-place finish. The Bulldogs’ Alex Watson came in 20th with 302.75 points.

In the women’s 1-meter competition, Ann-Perry Blank led Georgia with a 25th-place finish. Blank rolled up 244.60 points. She was followed by Ansley Long (26th, 244.25), Darcie O’Brien (31st, 228.35) and Landon Watters (36th, 217.10).
