KNOXVILLE, Tenn. --- Ann-Perry Blank came in eighth on the women's 3-meter springboard to highlight Georgia's showing on Thursday in the Tennesse Diving Invitational at the Allan Jones Aquatic Center.
Blank posted a score of 268.35 in the finals to come in eighth. During the prelims earlier in the day, Blank was 11th with 276.75 points.
Laura Ryan came in 10th for the Lady Bulldogs with 255.20 points. Ryan's score counted just five of six dives as she missed her forward 3.5-somersault pike. Ryan took fourth in the prelims with 308.85 points.
Also during the prelims, Darcie O'Brien placed 30th with 231.95 points, Ansley Long finished 31st with 227.70 points, Kelly Thatcher came in 38th with 205.05 points and Haley Goodman took 51st with 131.00 points.
In the men's 1-meter springboard competition, the Bulldogs' Bobby Chambless came in 32nd in prelims with 232.50 points.
The Tennessee Diving Invitational will continue on Friday with the women's 1-meter and the men's 3-meter competitions. The meet will conclude on Saturday with platform.
