ATHENS----- The University of Georgia Athletic Association and The Georgia Bulldog Club are pleased to announce the final renovation plans for Foley Field.

Fundraising for this $10 million project is now underway, and when completed, Foley Field will impact the lives of Georgia Baseball student-athletes, coaches, media and Georgia supporters and fans.

The UGA Athletic Association board of directors had previously given the charge to The Georgia Bulldog Club to begin fundraising. In December 2012, the lead gift for this renovation was provided by the Foley family of Columbus, Ga. These initial steps paved the way for construction plans to be put in place and the entire scope of the project to be realized.

"What we are going to do next is going to wow people," said Georgia baseball coach Scott Stricklin. "At some point, when a recruit is on this campus, we need them to say wow. And that is what Foley Field is going to be in the very near future."

Foley Field renovation plans will provide this nearly 25-year-old facility a drastic facelift. Plans include a new locker room, lounge and training areas for student-athletes as well as brand new amenities for fans, including a larger concourse and two new club-seating areas. An expanded and remodeled press box and Foley Field entrance will finish off the fresh look.

"It is time for Foley Field to regain its former glory," said Greg McGarity, UGA's Director of Athletics. "The visionaries choosing to become so meaningfully involved in the program will not only help offset the cost of the $10 million project, but also will forever be associated with this monumental commitment to the future of Georgia Baseball and Foley Field."
