2013 Andy Landers Lady Bulldog Basketball Camps
Andy Landers, Camp Director
A four-time National Coach of the Year, Landers' recipe for success is simple - attack every task with the same competitive fire synonymous with his teams. Personal care and attention to detail are the essentials to producing winning basketball in the Winter...and super camps during the Summer.
A Note from Coach Landers...Basketball is more than a game to me, it has been a lifelong calling. As early as the sixth grade, I knew I wanted to coach. I have always found basketball camps to be extremely beneficial. My staff and I are dedicated to making the camp experience valuable and worthwhile for every player at every level. Sessions are designed to build a solid foundation for newcomers or hone the skills of developed players. My continued pledge to you is to make our camps both as enjoyable and productive as possible.
A camp experience that's second to none
Every aspect of the Lady Bulldog Basketball Camps, which are open to any and all participants, is meticulously addressed.
Space will be limited to a maximum of 100 in individual camp sessions to provide the best attention and instruction.
Workouts are supplemented with lectures to inspire and teach the game by those who know it best. Who's on tap? Recent sessions included former Lady Bulldogs who have gone on to the WNBA and top college coaches.
The facilities used to stage each session are second to none. Historic Stegeman Coliseum underwent a $12-million facelift in the last year. Returning campers won't recognize it and first-timers won't believe it's 50 years old. In addition, Georgia Basketball's $30-million, 120,000-square foot practice facility is utilized extensively with its magnificent side-by-side private gyms where the Lady Bulldogs and Bulldogs practice on a daily basis.
The standard of excellence certainly doesn't stop when you step away from the hardwood.
Campers are housed in UGA dormitories that many Olympians and WNBA superstars once called home!
Breakfast, lunch and dinner ensure peak physical performance. Most meals are in UGA's dining halls, which rank among the finest in the nation.
Sessions are geared toward skill instruction and development. Campers will work with their favorite Lady Bulldogs and Georgia coaches while being exposed to hands-on teaching incorporating drills and skills used by the team. Each session will provide position breakdowns, shooting instruction, skill stations, 5-on-5 games and much more. Camps will provide instruction and motivation that will assist beginners and experienced players alike.
