 
2013 Bulldog Tennis CampWelcome to Coach Manny Diaz/Nike Bulldog Tennis Camp at The University of Georgia Welcome to the Bulldog Tennis Camp website. We are excited to be running our 46th annual Bulldog Tennis Camp this year! Coach Manuel Diaz and his staff provide campers with the same championship instruction he utilized to lead the Bulldogs to the 1999, 2001,2007 and 2008 NationalChampionships. The 2007, 2001 and 1995 National Coach of theYear, Diaz has won an amazing 20 SECtitles and is in his 24th year as the head coach of the Bulldogs. Coach Diaz will be assisted by Coach Glenn who was recognized as the 2010 National Assistant Coach of the Year and will be continuing as co-director of the Bulldog Tennis Camp. Together, the Bulldogs have been the most successful college tennis program in the country, capturing the 2006 and 2007 National Indoor Team Championships, the 2007 and 2008 NCAA TeamTitles as well as the 2006-07-08 and 2010 SEC Crowns. The camp will be held at the perennial site of the NCAA Championships,The Dan Magill Tennis complex, which holds 12 outdoor courts as well as four indoor courts. The Georgia Bulldog Tennis Camp will provide instruction for every level of play. For the beginner, basic fundamentals and stroke production will be emphasized. For the intermediate players, refinement of the fundamentals: Footwork, Grips, Strokes and Strategy will be stressed. The advanced players will be trained at the same intensity level and similar drills that we train our Bulldog college players. Along with match play and conditioning, the emphasisis concentrated in challenging the campers regardless of their level of play. Camps are open to any/all entrants (limited only by number and age, grade level, and/or gender). |
