• Originally a walk-on to the Georgia program, he’s earned an athletic scholarship for the 2009-10 season. • Transferred to UGA after two years at Gardner-Webb in Boiling Springs, N.C. • Sat out the 2008 season in compliance with NCAA rules regarding transfer students.
2008-09 Season • Scarcely used through the season’s first half, he earned a much greater role after late January. • Played a vital role in several of Georgia’s SEC games, including home wins over Florida and Vanderbilt. • Sank a 3-pointer vs. Vandy with 2:22 left that proved to be the go-ahead bucket in Georgia’s win. • Also played a big part in Georgia’s comeback win vs. Wofford, scoring 11 points in 21 minutes. • Season high of 15 points came in a reserve role against Mississippi State. Sank 5x7 from 3-point range against the Bulldogs and helped Georgia trim a 19-point deficit down to a single bucket. • Named to the 2009 Southeastern Conference Academic Honor Roll for Winter.
Previous College (Gardner-Webb) • Averaged 8.6 points per game in 2006-07 for the Bulldogs, members of the Atlantic Sun Conference. • Scored over 20 points three times in his two years, including 21 in his college debut at North Carolina. • Opened the 2007 season with a career-high 22 points at Texas Tech. • Scored 12 points (4x10 on 3FGs) in a 96-67 loss at Georgia in the 2007 season. • Selected to the A-Sun All-Academic team each of his two years at Gardner-Webb.
High School (Parkview) • First-team All-Region selection. • Named first-team All-County by the Gwinnett Tipoff Club. • Also an All-County selection by the Gwinnett Daily Post and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. • Senior season scoring high of 38 came against Central Gwinnett • Coached at Parkview by Tim Watkins.
