2008-09 Season • A 10-game starter for the Bulldogs as a sophomore. • Scored in double figures in three of Georgia’s mid-December games. • Highlight of the SEC season was a 10-point, 21-minute effort at home vs. Miss. State. • Hit for double figures in five games total, highlighted by a 15-point effort against N.C. A&T. • Chipped in six points and seven boards to help Georgia to its best non-conference win, 66-66 over Virginia Tech. • Wore protective goggles in some early games because he suffered a scratched cornea in the Presbyterian game on Nov. 21. 2007-08 Season • Named to coaches’ SEC All-Freshman team. • Big, athletic and highly-skilled frontcourt reserve. • Emerged from Georgia’s trip to Hawai’i as his team’s best inside scoring threat, with a season-high 22 points against Tulane. • Named SEC Freshman of the Week for scoring 25 points in two conference victories in mid-January. • Impressive in two other early conference games (both wins), when he scored 14 and 11 points, respectively, against Alabama and Arkansas. • One of those games was a 19-point, 12-rebound effort in a win over South Carolina. Was 7x10 from the field with a season-high three assists in the game. • Rock-solid in Georgia’s last two games -- the SEC Tournament final vs. Arkanas and the Xavier game in the NCAAs -- in relief of Albert Jackson.
High School (Columbia) • Regarded among the best power forward prospects in the national Class of 2007. • Rivals.com service rated him 22nd of all prep players at that position. Scout.com, another web-based recruiting service, rated him 14th-best among power forwards. • Averaged 14.4 points and 10.5 rebounds last season at Columbia, one of the state’s top programs regardless of classification. • During Price’s four years, the Eagles won four sub-region titles, two region crowns and the 2006 state championship in 4A.
