2005-06 (Junior Season) • Named a First-Team All-American by PING and the Golf Coaches Association of America. • Chosen as the SEC Player of the Year and First-Team All-SEC by the league's coaches. • Named to the PING All-Southeast Region Team by the GCAA. • Set the school record with a 70.90 scoring average and tied the school record with 10 top-10 finishes. • Was Georgia¹s top finisher at the NCAA Championship, placing second. • Was ranked No. 2 nationally in the final Golfweek/Sagarin Performance Index. • Claimed medalist honors at the Puerto Rico Classic and earned SEC Player of the Week honors. • Finished third at the SEC Championship as the Bulldogs claimed the program's 26th league title and the second of Kirk¹s career. • At the Western Refining All-America Classic, fired an 8-under 63 to match the second-lowest figure in school history and had a total of 12-under 201 to rate fifth all-time in school history. • Chosen as a Ben Hogan Award national finalist. • Chosen to play for the 2006 United States Palmer Cup Team in Scotland. • Named to Golf World's Mid-Season All-America Team. • Chosen as the recipient of the James R. Gabrielsen Scholarship. • Won the team's Dick Copas Award as the Bulldog with the lowest scoring average for the second straight year. • Has 16 top-10 finishes, which is fifth-best in school history. 2004-05 (Sophomore Season): • Named Second-Team All-America by PING and the Golf Coaches Association of America. • Named to the PING All-Southeast Region Team. • Named First-Team All-SEC in voting done by the league's coaches. • Finished tied for 13th at the NCAA Championships, helping the Bulldogs win the national title. • Won the inaugural Isleworth Collegiate, garnering SEC Player of the Week honors. • Led the Bulldogs to the team title at the Isleworth Collegiate. • Also won the Augusta State Invitational as Georgia came in third. • Was the recipient of the James R. Gabrielsen Endowed Scholarship. • Was ranked No. 11 nationally in the final Golfweek/Sagarin Performance Index, the top rating on the squad. • Won the team's Dick Copas Award as the Bulldog with the lowest scoring average. 2003-04 (Freshman Season): • Did not play in the fall, but was in the lineup for every spring event. • Was Georgia's top finisher at the Schenkel Invitational (third) and the Atlanta Intercollegiate (21st). • Helped the Bulldogs win the 25th SEC team title in school history. • Recorded an eagle on a 45-foot putt as Georgia advanced from a three-way playoff with Southern Cal and Purdue to play the final round of the NCAA Championships. • Chosen for the 2004 SEC Freshman Academic Honor Roll. • Named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll. • Was the recipient of the Georgia Men's Golf Endowed Scholarship. Amateur/Junior Highlights: • Qualified for the 2005 U.S. Amateur by earning medalist honors at a qualifier. • Tied for second at the 2005 Dogwood Invitational, and had top-12 efforts at the 2005 Georgia State, Northeast,Sunnehana and Players amateurs. • Was ranked No. 1 by Junior Golf Scoreboard and No. 6 in the Junior World Rankings by Golfweek and Titleist. • Won the 2003 AJGA TaylorMade-adidas event. • Won the 2003 U.S. Amateur Qualifier in Pensacola, Fla. • Was a member of the 2002 and 2003 Canon Cup East Teams. • Had three first-place efforts in AJGA events in 2002. • Two-time Junior All-American. High School: • Graduated from Etowah, leading the school to the state title in 2002 and to region titles in 2001 and 2002. • Named the 2003 Atlanta Journal Constitution Boys Golfer of the Year . • Was the low medalist at the 2002 and 2003 region events. • Was the individual runner-up at the 2002 and 2003 state events. • Named the Cherokee County High School Golfer of the Year in 2001, 2002 and 2003. • Chosen as Etowah's MVP in 2001, 2002 and 2003. • Given the Leland Franz Memorial Award (for character and leadership) in 2001, 2002 and 2003. • Maintained a 4.0 grade-point average and received a Georgia Certificate of Merit. •Won seven tournaments during his junior and senior seasons.
