2008-2009 (Freshman Season) • Won the national title in the 1,650 freestyle and finished second in the 500 freestyle at the NCAAs. • Placed 30th in the 400 individual medley at the NCAAs. • Holds the school record in the 500 freestyle and 1,650 freestyle and has the second-fastest 400 individual medley time in school history. • Named First-Team All-SEC after winning the 1,650 freestyle at the SECs. • Finished third in the 500 freestyle and seventh in the 400 individual medley at the SECs. • Named SEC Female Freshman of the Week five times, the most any athlete has been recognized by the conference. • Named to the Fall Athletic Director’s Honor Roll. • Named a CSCAA Scholar All-American. High School • Graduated from Springfield Convent High. • Coached by Karoly Von Toros. International • Finished seventh in the 1,500 freestyle and eighth in the 800 freestyle in the 2009 World Championships in Rome, Italy. • Swam for South Africa in the 2008 Olympics, placing ninth in the 800 freestyle. • Swam in the Melbourne World Championships in 2007, placing seventh in the 800 freestyle. • Placed fifth in the 800 freestyle at the Melbourne Commonwealth Games in 2006.
