2009 (Junior Season): • Named a recipient of the Ramsey Scholarship for Academic and Athletic Excellence. • Earned All-America honors at the NCAA Championship on beam and bars, giving her a total of seven for her career. • Named to the All-SEC Second Team. • Chosen as the Southeastern Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year by the league’s coaches. • Named to the Scholastic All-America Team by the National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches/Women. • Named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll. • Posted a 10.0 on beam in the meet with Michigan. • Recorded a season-high 9.925 on floor against Florida and matched that against UCLA and Michigan. • Selected to the Fall Semester Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.
2008 (Sophomore Season): • Claimed the NCAA title on beam, posting a 9.95 in the fifth slot that held up through the remaining competitors. • Earned First-Team All-America honors on bars and beam and Second-Team recognition on floor. • Finished 14th on bars in the individual event finals. • Won the Southeastern Conference titles on bars and beam and was named First-Team All-SEC. • Joined 12 others in league history with the top score of 9.95 on bars. • Scored a 9.95 on beam at the NCAA Regional to claim a share of the event title and came in second on bars. • Won the bars title against Stanford. • Won the beam title at Alabama. • Scored a 9.925 on beam against Arkansas to earn a share of the event. • Posted a career-best and then-nation-best 9.975 on beam vs. UCLA. • Earned her first career 10 and the only 10 in the nation on bars in 2008 against Iowa State. • Scored 9.825 or better – including a pair of 9.950s, a 9.925 and a trio of 9.90s – in all 12 postseason events. • Named First-Team Academic All-American by the National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches/Women. • Named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll. • Named to the CoSIDA/ESPN the Magazine Academic All-America Women’s At-Large Second Team. 2007 (Freshman Season): • Named a First-Team All-American on beam, placing second in the NCAA individual competition. • Was a Second-Team All-American on bars. • Scored a 9.875 on beam in Georgia’s first routine of the SECs. • Her first routine as a Gym Dog was a 9.9 on bars in the season opener. • Led off the beam lineup much of the year, averaging 9.85 in that position. • Ranked in the nation’s top 20 on beam and bars. • Led league freshmen with an average of 9.866 in six regular-season SEC meets. • Named to the SEC Freshman Academic Honor Roll. • Earned a 4.0 GPA in both the fall and spring. • Chosen as an NACGC Academic All-American. Club/International: • Trained at Aiken Gymnastics under Draha Krizova and Radek Kriz. • Was a former U.S. Elite National Team member, competing in three U.S. Championships (2002-04). • Placed first on beam at the Junior Olympic Nationals in 2001 and 2006. • Placed first in the all-around in three international competitions, including a win at the 2005 Friendship Classic where she beat 2004 Olympic bronze medalist Zhang Nan. • Traveled to Europe on several occasions, winning the all-around at invites in the Czech Republic and France. • Won the all-around at the 2005 Charleston Cup. • Helped the U.S. win the 2004 U.S. vs. Japan meet. Community Service: • Participates in SHINE, a gymnastics-based children’s ministry at Cornerstone Church in Athens. • Has volunteered for Special Olympics, the Golden Harvest Food Bank and the “Together We Can” food drive.
