2006-2007 (Senior Season) • Chosen as captain for the upcoming season. • Named the recipient of the Leon and Vickie Farmer Endowed Scholarship.
2005-2006 (Junior Season) • Was named the National Swimmer of the Year after winning high-point honors at the NCAA Championship. • Broke the American record in the 50 freestyle with a time of 21.63. • Also won the 100 and 200 free events at the NCAAs. • Was a member of the 400 free relay team that broke the American record. • Was also on four other relays that achieved All-America honors at the NCAAs. • Was the SEC champion in the 50, 100, and 200 freestyle. • Shared the Commissioner’s Trophy for high-point honors at the SECs with teammate Mary DeScenza. • Also swam on Georgia’s four SEC-winning relay teams, helping the Lady Bulldogs win the conference crown. • Holds the school record in the 50 and 200 free. • Was a member of the 200, 400 and 800 free relay teams in 2005 that not only won NCAA titles but also set the American records.
2004-2005 (Sophomore Season) • Was the NCAA champion in the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle. • Was a member of the victorious 200 freestyle, 200 medley, 400 medley and 800 freestyle relays at the NCAA. • Was the SEC champion in both the 50 free and 100 free. • Was the runner-up in the 200 free en route to finishing second in the individual high-point standings • Was a member of three SEC winning relays. • Named the recipient of the Leon and Vickie Farmer Endowed Scholarship.
2003-2004 (Freshman Season) • Was the NCAA champion in the 50m free after setting NCAA, American and U.S. Open record in the prelims. • Was the NCAA champion in the 100m free with a record-setting time. • Was a member of the world record setting 200m free relay. • Was a member of the winning 400m medley and 400m free relays that bettered the NCAA, American and U.S. Open records. • Swam on Georgia-record lowering 200m medley and 800m free relays. • Named the SEC Female Freshman of the Year. • Was the SEC champion in the 50y free and broke the SEC record. • Placed second at the SECs in the 100y free. • Swam the anchor leg on three of Georgia’s relays at SECs, including the SEC-record-setting 400y medley relay. • Also swam anchor on the 400y and 800y free relays. International • Competed at the 2004 Summer Olympics and won two silver medals as a member of the U.S. 400m free and 400m medley relays. • At the 2005 World Championships, placed second as a member of the 400m free relay and seventh in the 50m free. • At the 2005 Duel in the Pool, was second as a member of the 400m free relay, was third in the 50m free and was sixth in the 100m free. • At the 2004 U.S. Olympic Trials, won the 100m free, was second in the 50m free and placed seventh in the 200 free. • Also finished fifth in the 50m and 100m free at the 2004 Olympics. • Was a gold medalist at the 2003 Pan Americana Games in the Dominican Republic in both the 50m free and the 400m medley relay. • Broke the Pan American Games record in the 50m free. • Placed first at the 2003 Duel in the Pool in the 50m free. • Member of the 2002 National Junior Team.
High School • Graduated from Pioneer. • Was named a High School All-American and was the Michigan state champion and record holder in the 50 and 100 free. • Broke national high school records as a senior in the 50 and 100 freestyle and the 200 and 400 free relays. • Held the National Public High School record in the 50 free. • Named National High School Swimmer of the Year for 2002-03 and Michigan Swimmer of the Year for 2001-02. • Trained with Club Wolverine under the direction of Jon Urbanchek.
