The No. 1-ranked Lady Bulldogs posted a 134-104 victory over No. 7 Auburn, while the ninth-ranked Bulldogs dropped a 130-111 decision to the No. 5 Tigers.
"The kids did a great job, and I am proud of both teams," Georgia head coach Jack Bauerle said. "Our men raced the best they have this fall. I know it was in a loss, but they showed grit and character, and we liked what we saw. Our ladies had a heck of a dual meet. We were fortunate to come out with the win. We were a little deeper in some spots, and that‚s what made the difference."
The Lady Bulldogs (4-0, 2-0 SEC) opened the meet by winning the 200 medley relay. The team of Lauren English, Kelly McNichols, Lisa Caprioglio and Anne-Marie Botek stopped the clock in 1:39.72.
