Lalanne, listed at 6-8 and 215 pounds, is currently a senior at Oak Ridge High School in Orlando. Last year he averaged 17.2 points, 14 rebounds and 5.2 blocks per game for the Pioneers.
“Cady is a terrific young kid who has the ability to score inside and outside,” Fox said. “One of the things we were looking for was a good interior offensive player, and I think we were able to find him in Cady. But his versatility on offense is something I really like, too. He was also very well-coached in high school, so I expect that his transition to college will be a smooth one.”
Lalanne is ranked as the #21 center prospect nationally by the Scout.com online recruiting service. ESPN.com’s recruiting analysts rate him as the nation’s #37-best forward prospect among high school seniors.
This is the second time that Fox has signed a Floridian to join the Bulldog program. Last spring, Homestead native Vincent Williams became his first signee.
The early national signing period continues through next Wednesday, Nov. 18.
