The Ellis-Ueshima duo breezed past the Texas tandem of  Abby Liu and Carlene Leyden, winning 8-2. At the round-robin tournament, Ellis is 3-0 in singles and 3-0 in doubles.

Ueshima went 1-1 in singles Saturday. She defeated Kinstler 7-5,6-1 and then fell to Mushrefova 6-4,6-3.

“Cameron is really playing great tennis out here in both singles and doubles,” said Georgia coach Jeff Wallace. “It’s good to see her and Naoko playing solid doubles too.”

Action at the tournament concludes Sunday with one round of singles.
