ATHENS, Ga. - The University of Georgia football team held its final practice prior to its Homecoming contest against Tennessee Tech by working out for 90 minutes on Thursday.

The Bulldogs practiced at the Woodruff Practice Fields on the Thursday prior to a game for the first time in over a month having played their last three contests away from Athens. On Thursdays before road games, the Bulldogs practice at Sanford Stadium with crowd noise being played over the sound system to simulate the game day environment in an opponent's venue.

"Last day to prepare physically," Georiga head coach Mark Richt said prior to the practice. "We will stay right here on our practice fields. We won't go to the stadium. That's usually for when we are trying to get the noise, so we are going to go ahead and get our workout in here. It looks like the weather is going to be about what it is going to be game day, which is nice, and we've had a good week to this point."

On Saturday, Georgia (4-4) will return to playing Between the Hedges for the first time in 35 days when it meets Tennessee Tech (5-3). Kickoff between the Bulldogs and Golden Eagles is slated for 1:06 p.m. ET, and the game will be televised on a pay-per-view basis.

"I just like being Between the Hedges," Richt said about returning to play at Sanford Stadium this week and the next two following weekends. "I like being with our fan base. I like the fact that you don't have to go through all the travel. If you are home three or four games in a row, sometimes it is not bad to get away, and when you've been gone a long time, it is certainly great to get back home. I'm looking forward to being with the Georgia people."

Since 1922, Georgia is 68-17-2 in Homecoming contests. This year, Tennessee Tech will be the first non-conference foe for Homecoming since Troy in 2007. The Bulldogs defeated the Trojans 44-34 that day and posted a 25-14 win over Vanderbilt in last year's Homecoming game. The Commodores were the last team to spoil Georgia's Homecoming after a 24-22 upset in 2006. Saturday will mark just the second-ever meeting with Tennessee Tech. In 1943, Georgia blanked TTU, 67-0.

The pay-per-view broadcast of the UGA-TTU game will be a College Sports Southeast (CSS) production, and it will feature the familiar broadcast team of Matt Steward (play-by-play) and Buck Belue (color analyst) plus sideline reporter Sandra Golden. Cable and satellite systems in both Georgia and Tennessee will be offered the telecast with an individual subscription price of $29.95.
